Capanelle

Alt 1586m. This is a private gite and camping area is enthusiastically managed by Roger Philippe and Laure Maurizi they are a brother and sister team.

The building is situated right at the base of the Monte Renosu mountain, it's a ski area in the Winter. The gite is accessible by the road, so you will find all mod cons here. There are a number of small dormitories of various sizes. There are good washing facilities that have plenty of hot water. Capanelle has a vibrant bar and restaurant that seats 60 people. They serve good hot hearty meals and favour traditional Corsican dishes. There is a small well stocked shop, washing machine, clothes line and you can recharge your phones.

Behind the gite is a camping area with gaz, picnic table and pitches. If you want to hire a tent, they are already up and have matresses already installed 15 euros for 2 people.

Please note, the small refuge in the vicinity of the gite is completely separate, it is managed by the Corsican natural park and has no rapport with the gite.
