Haut Asco Refuge

Alt 1422m. This is the third accommodation you will come across on the GR20 north when setting out from Calenzana. There are 32 places inside the refuge and tent spots alongside the shallow river that runs nearby. You can reserve on line with the website : http://www.pnr.corsica/.

‘Le Chalet’ hotel and gite

Next-door is a private hotel and gite. The bedrooms are refurbished and comfortable, The gite consists of small rooms that take 4 – 6 people, plenty of hot water! The bar and restaurant offer a magnitude of food, treats and GR20 souvenirs. There is a large sunny terrace, great spot to relax.

Haut Asco is situated at the very end of the valley road, it is an isolated spot surrounded by the highest soaring peaks. It's a ski station, with an impressive history of alpinisme. Some great black and white photos are to be found in ‘Le Chalet’ that show the first mountaineers to the island.

Reservations are made online, directly on the PNRC (Regional Natural Park of Corsica) website. You will need to take the booking confirmation with you, to present it to the caretaker when you arrive at the refuge. Alt 1520m. This is the first accommodation you will come across on the GR20 north when setting out from Calenzana.

Alt 1991m altitude. This is the sixth accommodation you will come across on the GR20 north when setting out from Calenzana.

Castel di Vergio hotel

Castel di Vergio is the seventh accommodation you will come across on the GR20 north when setting out from Calenzana.

Vaccaghja

The eighth accommodation along the route, Vaccaghja is a half day walk from Castel di Vergio.

Manganu Refuge

Alt 1600m. This is the ninth park refuge that you will come to on the GR20 north when setting out from Calenzana.

Petra Piana Refuge

Alt 1842m. This is the tenth park refuge that you will come to on the GR20 north when setting out from Calenzana.

Onda Refuge

Alt 1422m. This is the eleventh park refuge that you will come to on the GR20 north when setting out from Calenzana.

Vizzavona

This is the twelth step that you will come to on the GR20 north when setting out from Calenzana.

Capanelle

Alt 1586m. This is a private gite and camping area is enthusiastically managed by Roger Philippe and Laure Maurizi they are a brother and sister team.

Col de Verde

Alt 1289m. This is the fourteenth accommodation that you will come to on the GR20 when setting out from Calenzana. It is a private gite, that has road access.

Prati Refuge

Alt 1820m. This is the fifteenth accommodation that you will come to on the GR20 when setting out from Calenzana.

Usciolu Refuge

Alt 1750m. This is the sixteenth accommodation that you will come to on the GR20 when setting out from Calenzana.

Croci

Alt 155Om. This is the seventeenth accommodation along the way when setting out from Calenzana.

Asinau Refuge

Alt 1400m. This is the eighteenth accommodation that you will come to on the GR20 when setting out from Calenzana.

Col de Bavella

Alt 1218m. This is the nineteenth accommodation that you will come to on the GR20 when setting out from Calenzana.

Paliri Refuge

Alt 1055m. This is the last one on the trail GR20 !
